First off, If you are grading your Town Hall to level 8, try to farm gold and elixir this time because you will need to use them a lot in Town Hall 8. You should also max all your troop upgrades and defenses (Walls also if you can) before going to the next level. Builders and buildings:
I started Town Hall 8 with 4 builders. The fifth builder is great, but I think 4 guys are enough. I prefer upgrading Barbarian King to buying the 5th builder by gems.Don’t use all those builders for upgrading all defense buildings or more than one of a defense type at the same time, your village will be weak!
- Laboratory: You come to level 8 because you can’t upgrade your troops anymore. Without level 5 troops, It will be very hard to farm.
- Clan Castle: The high level of your Clan Castle, the more war loot and troops you can hold. This is one of the most important things in both defending and attacking. Upgrade it to level 4 as soon as you can.
- Dark Elixir Drill: Having an extra DE extractor is one of the best things in this level.
- Upgrading Tesla: Tesla is one of the most needed defenses in Town Hall 9. You should upgrade them all to level 6 before deciding to hit level 9. You need to have at least 1 builder working on them at all times.
- Tower upgrade order: Upgrade your Mortars to Gold first, they
can kill level 6 troops by one hit. Then upgrade your Wizard Towers to
full purple, they will be very deadly. After finishing these ones, It’s
time for Air Defenses, Archer Towers, Cannons and Air Sweeper. Archer Towers can attack both air and ground units so you should upgrade them before Cannons.
If your Clan is active in Wars, you should max out your Air Defenses before Archer Towers and Cannons because till now, Dragons are still dominating at early and mid Town Hall 8. - Level 10 Barbarian King: Upgrading your Barbarian King to at least level 5 is the most important thing you should do with your Dark Elixir first before upgrade your Hogs or Minions. - Walls: Make them be skull when you have nothing to build with your builders. You can do this while your builder is upgrading your town hall to level 9.
Laboratory:
Always be sure that you always have enough Elixir to use in
Laboratory to keep it working. A fun fact for you: Laboratory in Town
Hall 8 takes time for upgrading troops and spells much more longer than
four builders working hard to complete all buildings in this level.
What should be upgraded at first? Use these troops and spells for farming will give you the most economical return.
- Archers: Cheap and powerful. Shoot over the walls. Perfect for raiding!
- Barbarians: Cheaper than other troops, meat shields instead of Giants, a part of Barch.
- Goblins: Super resource cleaner. If you are not a fan of Goblins, you can upgrade Dragons or Balloons now.
- Wall Breakers: 1 level 5 Wall Breaker can pass a gold wall, 2 Wall Breakers can pass almost walls.
- Rage Spell: Perfect to boost your speed to get their storages.
- Healing Spell: Always a good choice for farming.
Don’t forget to upgrade your Hogs to level 4, so you can upgrade them to level 5 immediately when you are at Town Hall 9. Hog Riders will help you so much at farming.
Town Hall 8 Army Composition
Farming: This is a good army composition for farming at this level with low cost. The good ranges for farming with Town Hall 8 are Gold III and Gold I.- 60 Barbarians
- 88 Archers
- 8 Wall Breakers
- 36 Goblins
- Barbarian King
- 2 Rage Spells, 1 Healing Spell and 1 Poison Spell.
